Narviplastx is the "Industrial Plastics" department of the Narviflex Group. In our factory in Geel we store and process plastic semi-finished products (sheets, rods, hollow rods, etc.), which we supply to companies as a whole or as processed pieces. We supply and manufacture almost everything in plastic for companies: safety fences, walkways, collision protection, plastic stairs, transparent draught curtains, machine parts, and even wall or ceiling panels for industrial renovations.
Your job as a logistics planner and coordinator:
In this job you take care of everything that has to do with timing and delivery time. You make sure that everything that has to leave for the customer today or tomorrow is also effectively ready and leaves for the customer on time.
This is a multifaceted job, with many components:
Leadership and communication : you manage people correctly so that they know what needs to be done, there is as little chaos or confusion as possible, and that everyone is motivated and working efficiently. You directly manage the logistics team and the sawing department, and coordinate with the leaders/planners of the turning and milling department.
Planning, communication and coordination : consult with various departments to stay informed of production orders and expected deliveries. You set priorities and keep everyone informed of progress and stock.
Inventory management and warehouse management : you will be responsible for the entire warehouse, inventory management and the logistics process. You will manage the necessary people and ensure clarity and results. End goal: everything that needs to be delivered is in stock on time and produced on time (and qualitatively).
Training : You provide training for your logistics team, and also indicate training needs in other teams. If everyone knows how to work optimally, everything will run more efficiently.
Suggest and implement improvements to work as efficiently as possible and get everything done on time.
What profile are we looking for?
Sounds logical, but still: you are good at planning and organizing
You are a strong communicator (written and spoken). You speak perfect Dutch and can also get by in English. Knowledge of French and/or German is an advantage.
You already have experience in a role as a planner, work preparer and/or team leader in a production environment
You have an analytical mind and quickly see where (and how) things can be done better/differently
You can handle tight deadlines and last minute changes. Customers sometimes need our products urgently, and speed and efficiency are important in that.
You are good with computers and are also strong in administration. You follow everything daily and ensure a clear overview. It should not only be clear in your head. Knowledge of SAP (or another ERP system) and common office software is definitely required.
You are physically fit and can lift a box/part up to 25kg without any problems.
