Ultra X Series Dunlop - Fact Checking!

Ultra X rubber conveyor belting Michelin-Dunlop - Benelux Distribution by Narviflex
Narviflex Benelux Distribution of Michelin-Dunlop Ultra X Series - Allways in Stcok

Features, scientifically tested with laboratory tests and proven in practice:

  • Double resistance to perforations and lengthwise tearing

  • Double resistance to width tearing

  • Impact resistant many times: fabric is self-healing after shock loading

  • Ultra X is hot vulcanized with a reinforced finger joint and retains 90% of the belt's tensile strength (with a classic 3-ply belt this is only 67%)

  • Also strong connection with belt fasteners, because Ultra X is so tear-resistant

  • Stretches less

  • Can be used on smaller drum diameters

The following Ultra X types are in stock at Narviflex, in every width:

  • Ultra X1 4+2 AA: replaces and improves 250/2, 315/2, 315/3 and 400/3

  • Ultra X3 6+2 AA: replaces and improves on 500/3, 500/4, 630/3 and 630/4

The table below provides a summary of the extensive laboratory testing at Michelin-Dunlop:

Notable points of interest:

  • Max. operational tension spliced (N/mm): after hot joining, the Ultra X belts are STRONGER in tensile strength than their EP counterparts

  • Min. rip resistance (N): Ultra X belts are twice as resistant to perforations and longitudinal tears as their EP counterparts

  • Min. tear resistance (N): Ultra X belts are twice as resistant to cross-sectional tears as their EP counterparts

  • Min. static fastener efficiency (%): when using belt fasteners, Ultra X straps are also stronger and more tear-resistant than their EP counterparts

  • Average elongation at T1 (%) : Ultra X belts stretch less than their EP counterparts

Ultra X belts can only be joined by Narviflex, due to the special N-Flex finger joint.

Field testing is currently underway on the Nova X4 and Nova X6, which are intended for even heavier applications, with tensile strengths of up to 1250 N/mm. In a few weeks, we will also release these two types.

Chances are you have Michelin tires on your car, designed to protect your life. So why not choose the conveyor belt counterpart, also from Michelin, made in the rubber conveyor belt factory in Drachten, the Netherlands?

The Ultra X superior belts are in stock at Narviflex and are professionally fitted by Narviflex mechanics.
